Denny graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1979 and became an Air Force F-16 fighter pilot. After 13 years of active service, he separated from active duty, joined the Air Force Reserves, and retired in 2001 as a Lt Colonel. In 1993, Denny was hired by Southwest airlines and was an airline pilot at Southwest Airlines for 29 years before retiring in 2022. He was a Boeing-737 Captain for 24 years. In 2008, Denny started Rocky Mountain Rafts out of his garage in Crested Butte, CO and has grown it into a successful multi-million-dollar business. Denny has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle University and is a graduate of the Air Force Fighter Weapons School (Similar to the Navy’s Top Gun program)

David graduated from Arizona State University in 1990 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. At that point in time he had already been developing systems solutions for mega corporations like IBM and Honeywell. Since his drive has always been to design and develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions he chose to immediately launch a systems integration company that provided computer hardware and software solutions across the US. That company went on a 17 year success path and spawned a number of spin-off ventures. As online commerce started to grow and flourish David found that his skill sets were highly adaptable to marketing and selling direct to online consumers. Since the late 90's David's companies have sold tens of millions of dollars in product and coached/consulted with hundreds of online sellers showing them the correct and profitable way to run an online selling business. Having grown up experiencing the beauty of the Colorado mountains and spending most of his adult life in Arizona he fully appreciates the opportunity to be outdoors, being active and enjoying life. Buoy Watersports is our chance to get more people enthusiastically living in that same world!

Katy has always been a very active outdoor person. From hiking miles to see a remote waterfall, camping on a cliff, rafting the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon or running 5k/10ks just for the fun of it, her passion is experiencing the beauty of the outdoors as much as she can. She has years of experience with building and maintaining online stores as well as diverse knowledge of product management and marketing. She is the head of the graphic design at Buoy Watersports and designed all of the inflatables you know and love and so much more. Her number one goal is to bring her love of the outdoors to everyone - from those that have never held a paddle to the kayaking experts - one adventure at a time!
